I've been using a USB-C hub for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for my workflow. One thing that's become clear is that not all hubs are created equal. Some are clunky, slow, and just don't cut it when you're trying to get work done. That's why I was excited to try out the UGREEN USB C Hub 5 in 1 Multiport USB Adapter.
This little adapter has been a revelation. It's got a 4K HDMI port, a 100W USB C PD port, a 5 Gbps USB A data port, and two 480 Mbps USB A ports. That's a lot of connectivity in a small package. And it's not just about the number of ports - it's about how they perform.
4K Stunning Display
The HDMI port on this thing is capable of 4K resolutions at 30Hz, which is perfect for anyone who needs to hook up their laptop to a monitor or projector. I was able to get crystal-clear video with no issues, and it's been a huge help for presentations and video calls.
One thing to note is that the host device's C port needs to support video output, but that's not a big deal if you're using a modern laptop or tablet. And with 100W Power Delivery support, you can keep your device charged while you're using it - which is a huge plus.
Transfer Files in Seconds
I was also impressed with the data transfer speeds on this thing. The USB A 3.0 port can handle speeds up to 5 Gbps, which is perfect for transferring large files. And the two USB A 2.0 ports are great for hooking up your keyboard and mouse.
- Transfer files at speeds up to 5 Gbps
- Extra 2 USB A 2.0 ports for keyboards and mouse
It's worth noting that the USB 3.0/2.0 ports are mainly for data transmission, and charging isn't recommended. But that's not a huge limitation in practice.
Broad Compatibility
One of the things that's impressed me about this adapter is how well it works with different devices. It's compatible with MacBook Pro/Air M5/M4/M3/M2/M1, iPad Pro, iMac, iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, XPS, and Thinkpad, among others. And it's plug-and-play, which is great - no need to install any drivers or software.

A Few Limitations
Not everything is perfect, of course. One thing that's worth noting is that this adapter doesn't support Thunderbolt 3 - which might be a limitation for some users. And while it's not huge, it's not tiny either - so you'll need to make sure you've got a bit of space on your desk.
Overall, though, I'm really impressed with the UGREEN USB C Hub 5 in 1 Multiport USB Adapter. It's been a huge help for my workflow, and I think it could be for yours too.
